Backed by an active private equity investor, this business is at the forefront of Australia’s transition to distributed renewable energy, delivering innovative solutions across a growing portfolio of assets. As CFO, you will sit at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations, partnering with the CEO and executive team to drive capital allocation, investment decisions, and long-term growth. This role offers broad commercial influence, exposure to investors and board-level stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape a high performing, high growth business. The Challenge The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the CEO and partner with an ambitious leadership team to drive scale, performance, and value creation. Lead the company’s financial strategy and oversee capital allocation for new and existing projects. Provide commercial and strategic insight to support growth, investment, and operational decision-making. Drive financial planning, forecasting, and modelling to inform portfolio expansion and performance optimisation. Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and reporting frameworks that support scale. Partner with investors, lenders, and strategic partners to structure and fund growth initiatives. Translate complex financial information into actionable insight for the executive team and board. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance function aligned to commercial and strategic objectives. The Expertise This role is designed for a proven finance leader operating in renewables, energy or high growth environments. To succeed, you will bring: Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in high growth, renewables, energy, infrastructure, or capital intensive businesses. Strong commercial judgement and experience evaluating strategic investment opportunities. Deep capability across FP&A, project finance, portfolio management, cash flow and controls. Experience presenting financial and commercial insights to boards, investors, or senior stakeholders. Hands-on leadership style with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
